When the liquid level of the lead-acid battery is too low, under what circumstances is it allowed to add water

As a traditional battery, LEAD-ACID BATTERY has become a common battery in daily life due to its low cost and rechargeable advantages. Adding water for repeated use is a common method, so when the liquid level of the lead-acid battery is too low, under what circumstances is it allowed to add water to make it work better?

  1. (1) The normal water addition (ordinary) of the battery should be carried out at one time, add water to the upper limit of the standard liquid level, and then adjust the charging current to about 1/2 of the 10h discharge rate, and charge until most of the batteries appear bubbles time.

    (2) For unattended substations, when the battery liquid level is found to be too low during the patrol inspection, a small amount of water should be added first to make the liquid level slightly higher than the pole plate, and then charged with a current of 1/2 of the 10h discharge rate. After most of the batteries have bubbles, add water to the standard liquid level, and then charge for 2 hours.

    (3) Under normal circumstances, it is not allowed to add water during the regular charging and discharging process, so as not to affect the measurement results of the electrolyte density, because the measured density value is used as the basis for judging whether the battery is fully charged (not lower than the value before discharge). Density), adding water will not be able to compare. Therefore, normal water should be added after charging, and then charged for 2 hours.
